| Requirements |
Pick all the games through the Championship Game (excluding the play-in game). Enter the Total Points Scored in the Championship Game as a tie-breaker. |
| Point Calculation |
Points are awarded based on the seeds of the teams playing and the round the game is played in. This is done to award more points for correctly picking upsets. Each game is assigned an initial point value based on it's round (see Round Initial Points below), then a seed differential is added to determine the points awarded for that game. The seed differential is calculated by subtracting the loser's seed from the winner's seed. Example 1 - In round 1 a 5 seed defeats a 12 seed. The calculation would look like this, "16 + (5 - 12)" resulting in 9 points. Example 2 - In round 3 a 5 seed defeats a 1 seed. The calculation would look like this, "20 + (5 - 1)" resulting in 24 points. NOTE: Points are only awarded for correctly picking the game winner. |
